SAT EBRW Score Gains by Ability Level - United Township, IL

SAT Evidence-Based Reading and Writing (EBRW), Total Group (n = 60)

During the 2016–17 school year, 60 juniors at United Township High School (IL) participated in the ZAPS program to prepare for the SAT. Their SAT EBRW Pretest scores average 467.7 (out of 800 possible) before ZAPS training. After the ZAPS program, the scores of 44 students increased, 3 remained the same, and 13 decreased. On average, their SAT EBRW scores increased by 52.2 points to 519.8.

SAT EBRW Higher-Performing Group (n = 22)

Twenty-two (22) United Township High School (IL) juniors scored 500 or better on the SAT EBRW Pretest. After participating in the ZAPS program, the scores of 16 students increased, 2 remained the same, and 4 decreased. Their SAT EBRW scores increased by an average of 32.3 points.

SAT EBRW Lower-Performing Group (n = 38)

Thirty-eight (38) United Township High School (IL) juniors scored below 500 on the SAT EBRW Pretest. After participating in the ZAPS program, the scores of 28 students increased, 1 remained the same, and 9 decreased. Their SAT EBRW scores increased by an average of 63.7 points.
